Martin Garrix may not be old enough to buy a ticket to a music festival but that isn’t stopping him from being one of the most successful producers of 2013. The 17 year old DJ hailing from Amsterdam quickly became a big name in the EDM world this past summer with the release of his dance banger, “Animals”. The song became a staple at festivals around the world and topped the Beatport charts for weeks on end. In fact, Garrix is the youngest DJ to ever have #1 song on the Beatport Top 100 chart. If all these accomplishments weren’t enough, “Animals” has just gone gold in Belgium. Spinnin’ Records presented the youngster with a plaque to commemorate selling the necessary 15,000 copies of the tune in the country.
