Kasper Smed Nielson, better known as Mikkas, made monumental waves with his remix of Emma Hewitt’s “Rewind” late last year solidifying his presence in a myriad of top DJ sets and on the Beatport charts. Â His unique blend of hard hitting complextro bass lines and soaring melody isolation gave the original a heart pounding twist and became an instant favorite. Â Mikkas has given an equally brilliant remix treatment to one of Armin van Buuren’s tracks off of his recently released album, Intense. Â The teaser begins with grungy, choppy beats that transition into Cindy’s vocals layered over a gorgeously arranged piano rendition of the original melody. The hook resounds with an added layer of trance pads which is followed by a slow, dubby breakdown. Â The teaser than abruptly ends with the reverb of a simple piano chord.
