10 Songs You’ll Hear 10 Times at EDC

There you are, at one of the most anticipated events of the year. It’s day three, you’re exhausted but still trying to hang in there when it happens. The song that’s been haunting you all festival long is played AGAIN. You’ve heard it at other festivals, in nightclubs, on the radio, and for whatever reason you just can’t seem to escape it. Everybody [insert expletive] plays this song.

Here are ten tracks, love them or hate them, that you will not be able to avoid this weekend at EDC Las Vegas:

10. Rebound – Arty & Mat Zo
Can’t really blame Arty or Mat Zo for this one. First, Will.i.am stole the track. Then came the backlash from other artists such as Above & Beyond. But no matter what the cause, this is a track that has been in the forefront of all EDM festivals this year, and there’s no doubt it will make quite a few appearances this weekend.

9. The Code – W&W & Ummet Ozcan

W&W may not be able to make it to Vegas this weekend, but their track The Code certainly will. Just have a few drinks and squint your eyes a little bit and you’ll have no idea they cancelled their performance.

8. Calvin Harris – Sweet Nothing

I guess it’s a good problem to have when your songs are a bit overplayed after 8 top 10 singles on one album. But is even Calvin Harris a little over his own music? It seemed like it when he announced he would be going a different direction on future projects and making “good music.” Regardless, Sweet Nothing has been a huge track and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

7. Rasputin – Hard Rock Sofa

Last year, it was their track Quasar that seemed to be all over every big name’s set. This year Hard Rock Sofa is back on every tracklist with their single Rasputin.

6. Calvin Harris – I Need Your Love

He’s had multiple chart topping songs all year, so it’s only fitting that Calvin Harris makes a second appearance on this list. Ellie Goulding vocals are always a surefire way to get your song played.

5. Clarity – Zedd

null

I hate to say it, because I do love this song and I haven’t gotten sick of it yet…but it’s getting close. This song is everywhere! It’s on the radio, it’s on late night television, it’s on Glee for Christ’s sake. Clarity is the track that inspired hundreds of covers, and because it hasn’t quite been played out yet the chances of hearing it over and over again at EDC are high. Brace yourselves for some Clarity folks.

4. Don’t You Worry Child – Swedish House Mafia

Swedish House Mafia officially retired (for the moment) and this track should be retired from festivals along with them. Along with Save the World, these Swedish House Mafia songs have been beaten into the ground but you’ll still probably hear them at some point if you are at EDC.

3. Knife Party – LRAD

LRAD seems to be this year’s Levels. It’s safe to say it’s become one of this year’s summer anthems. If you’re going to be at EDC this weekend, I hope you’re a fan of this song because you won’t be able to avoid it at any stage.

2. Get Lucky – Daft Punk

I’m just going to leave this here – it speaks for itself.

Which brings us to number one, certainly no one is surprised…

1. Alive – Krewella

Krewella has exploded onto the scene for numerous reasons. A huge reason is because of this track. Beautiful women, beautiful vocals, and a Hardwell remix is sure to get your track all over the festival scene as well as mainstream radio. The count last weekend at Spring Awakening in Chicago was 12 plays. Get ready for at least that many plays this weekend.

You get the idea. EDC roll call – what songs do you guys NOT want to hear, sound off in the comments below!
